About me
Hey, I'm Joshua. IT and business have fascinated me since I was a teenager, so I went and learned both. First the apprenticeship, then the degree. Today I work as a sales team lead at an IT systems house.
For a while now, artificial intelligence has been on my mind, at work as much as at home. What interests me is less the question of how it can be used and more how it should be used, without giving up control over your own data. That interest has turned into projects by now. I genuinely enjoy building solutions myself instead of only talking about them. That is the path I want to keep following, and to shape my career around.
Projects

Any file format to Markdown, locally, without a cloud
An unglamorous intermediate step that everything else depends on. Without a clean text base, everything downstream returns garbage.

Not a data centre, two devices on a shelf. But everything about them I run myself.

In the company
AI-assisted meeting assistant
Rolling out an AI-assisted meeting assistant that joins online meetings (Zoom, Microsoft Teams and the like) to record and transcribe conversations automatically, and to turn them into structured summaries and action items.
Internal AI knowledge base
Designing and rolling out an AI-assisted internal knowledge base. One central, digital place for everything a company knows. It gathers documents, processes, guides and FAQs for employees only, so they can find what they need themselves instead of searching for a long time or asking colleagues.
Background
My education and my career, from the apprenticeship to today.
2022 – 2025
Apprenticeship in IT systems management
My way into IT through its commercial side, in the sales team of an IT systems house. I learned early that a quote carries more than technology. There are licences, deadlines and responsibilities, and in the end the question of who stands behind it. Reading vendor promises and recognising what survives into the contract has been part of it ever since.
alongside it
2022 – 2026
Dual bachelor's degree in business informatics
Alongside the company and the apprenticeship I studied at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. That combination of theory and daily practice sharpened the way I look at things considerably, including the way I look at AI projects today.
since 2025
Team Lead Sales
My main responsibility is leading a small sales team. I work closely with my colleagues in day-to-day business, supporting them in putting together quotes, running tenders, improving processes, and keeping an eye on the bigger picture. I'm also the first point of contact for licensing models from Microsoft, Citrix, VMware, Veeam and others. Advising customers is naturally part of that as well. Since 2026 my focus has been shifting increasingly towards AI. I model sales processes with an eye toward possible automation, and so far I share what comes out of that mostly through direct exchange with individual colleagues.
My goal
Building out the AI focus
I want to keep pushing AI adoption forward where I work and build the solutions for it myself, rather than just buying them in. That is what I am working towards.
Contact
I'm glad to hear from you, whether about one of the projects here or simply to trade notes. A short email or a hello on LinkedIn is enough.
