CRM Front End

A lean CRM as a web app, built directly on the ERP database

Still running

Situation

The newly introduced ERP system comes with a CRM. Its features are scattered, it is cumbersome to use, and every look inside starts with a login. Especially when preparing for customer meetings, that costs time, mine included.

Approach

A web application of its own as a front end, sitting directly on the ERP system's database. It shows a customer's latest quotes, invoices and open items at a glance. New contacts can be added directly on the customer record and are synchronised with the ERP in both directions. I built the prototype with Claude Code and the front end continues that way; the connection to the ERP system's interfaces runs through scripts of my own.

Outcome

The prototype is done and has been presented internally. Implementation has started, and I am building it myself.
